Healing HumilityΒ

β€œKeep your face always toward the sunshine – and shadows will fall behind you.” ― Walt Whitman πŸ™

Overlooking the setting sun and coastal California redwoods during a solo dining experience tonight.β˜€οΈπŸŒ²
The healing process can be very humbling and emotionally challenging and the last few weeks have presented a pretty deep emotional low for me so I have been doing everything I can to keep positive. Lots of prayers, meditation, alone time, sleep, connecting with the Earth, creativity, mass quantities of fruits, veggies, herbal teas, and medicinal mushrooms, connecting with my mom, connecting with my daughter, and connecting with true friends have been my uplifting recipe and I do feel I am on the upswing.
I do have absolute gratitude for every aspect of this process, many lessons of humility, patience, and acceptance have come to me in the past few weeks, so I hold onto the lessons as medicine and continue to move forward with my face toward the sunlight.πŸ™Œ
Tonight’s dinner was preceded with prayers to God, the Sun, the Angel of Sun, the Angel of Light, the Angel of Faith, the Angel of Relationships, the Angel of Peace and basking in the setting sunlight. This plate I lovingly prepared for myself was awesomely beautiful, grounding, and uplifting✨consisting of avocado, raw cauliflower and purple cabbage rice, fat free raw zucchini pesto smothered maitake mushrooms over a bed of spinach then drizzled with lime juice, sprinkled with red onion, sea salt and cayenne pepper.
With much appreciation and gratitude, blessings to all.πŸ’›

Cafe Grateful Santa Cruz, CaliforniaΒ

Thoroughly satisfied and oh so happy!πŸ™†πŸ½

Since going 100% raw vegan and grain less I have not dared to eat at a restaurant for fear of some sort of contamination as I am so sensitive.πŸ™…πŸ½ But I stepped away from my fears today and stepped into 😍Cafe Gratitude in Santa Cruz, California!

As usual I asked for the manager so I could go down my list of many many questions about the menuπŸ“After going over about 10 minutes worth of questions the menu passed my test and I actually ordered food! The manager was incredibly patient and kind by the way!!πŸ’ž

This is a triumph for me as I have not eaten any restaurant food since March of this year. Being a serious foodie and a former fine dining California Cuisine and French Cuisine restaurant server I have a serious appreciation for food and food serviceπŸ˜‰

 I give Cafe Gratitude Santa Cruz a ’10 times 10′ πŸ’―β€ΌοΈand many thumbs upsπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Raw Vegan Wrawp🌯

πŸŒΆπŸŒ±πŸ„ Quick, easy, yummy, raw! Layer upon layer of raw vegan goodness! Lime, garlic, dill, sea salt, black pepper, cayenne, avocado mash topped with maitake mushrooms which I drenched in lemon juice, then sprinkled with sea salt, black pepper, cayenne, parsley, dill, and red onion! πŸ˜‹ Smeared my avocado mash over nori, layered with my maitakes then placed it all over an original flavor flatbread by Wrawp.  πŸ˜‰ The jalapeΓ±o to the top was munched down like a pickle! I like it spicy! 🌯πŸ”₯ Easy, healthy, raw, vegan!

Nurturing NourishmentΒ

Desperately seeking sustenance!

πŸŒΏπŸ…πŸ’šArrived home tonight just ravenous after a long and very hot summer day of performing bodyworkπŸŒ‘β˜€οΈ

Working as an intuitive bodyworker can be energetically taxing, especially when being a high volume deep tissue, muscle memory reeducation specialist.πŸ™Œ

πŸ’†πŸ½πŸ’ͺToday was an especially intense day of lovingly helping people move forward in their physical and emotional processes of letting go of pain. πŸ™Œ I was absolutely fatigued from putting so much of my physicality, heart, and soul into work today that I just didn’t want to do my usual chopping of multitudes of plant materials for dinner.πŸŒΏπŸ…πŸŒ±πŸŒΆπŸ‹

As a raw vegan and a professional nurturer I constantly need to nurture and nourish myself but sometimes I’m so burnt out after work that prepping food for myself is a struggle.πŸ™€

Tonight I cut corners and just tossed a bunch of veggies and herbs in my high speed blender, cut up an avocado, pulled apart a head of endive and presto dinner was prepped in about 3 minutes and WOW was it YUMMY!πŸ˜‹

Tonight’s super quick, ultra yummy, and incredibly nourishing recipe was just 3 Roma tomatoes, 3 small cloves of garlic, 1/4 cup of cilantro, 1/2 of a small jalapeΓ±o, 2 TBSP red onion, juice from 1/2 of a lemon, and a pinch of sea salt tossed in my high speed blender for about 5-10 seconds.πŸ™ŒπŸŒ€

I poured my blended salsa into a bowl, tossed my cut avocado over top, sprinkled with black pepper, then placed my endive spears in the mix. So fast, super easy, so yummy, and nutritionally awesome!! πŸ˜‡πŸ’šπŸ’›

Living The Dream Inn Santa Cruz, Ca

Endive topped with guac and mango salsa…SOOOO GOOD!!!πŸ˜‹πŸ’šBeing incredibly spoiled with an impromptu mini vacation to Santa Cruz, California with my Love.πŸšπŸ’βš“οΈ Thank goodness Santa Cruz has an awesome @wholefoodsmarket πŸ˜‡πŸŒ±πŸ‰πŸƒπŸ‹πŸŒΏπŸŽ for this raw vegan!! So many beautiful vegan and vegetarian restaurants surrounding our AMAZING hotel Dream Inn πŸšπŸ©πŸ–πŸ¦€ but the only food place that can accommodate me at this point of my process is Whole Foods Market.🍎 So I grabbed myself a big tub of guacamole, some mango salsa, pico de gallo, crimini mushrooms, heirloom cherry tomatoes, romaine lettuce, precut watermelon, nectarines, date rolls, coconut water, celery, and broccoli slaw…lovingly nourishing myself with this awesomeness in the hotel room as he ordered himself room service. Enjoying a beautifully romantic ocean view dinner overlooking a vibrantly lit πŸ’«πŸŽ‘πŸŽ’πŸŽ πŸ’«Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk as a live concert playing from the Boardwalk serenades us.🎀 Can this get any better? Such a blessing to have the opportunity to live this experience. I cannot express my gratitude!!πŸ™ŒπŸ˜πŸ’–

Got Glucose?!πŸ˜œπŸ‰

Got glucose?!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸŒ I do!!πŸ™‹πŸ½πŸŒπŸ― Oh the POWER of unprocessed, natural sugar!!

Knowing what I now know about the absolute healing qualities of fruit and honey has been a lifesaver for meπŸ™Œ To combat my health issues I actually did not eat fruit or ANY sugar for about a year😳  I have been so committed to letting go of illness for over a decade that I literally tried EVERYTHING but take medsπŸ™…πŸ½πŸš«πŸ’‰πŸ’Š

For over 10 years there was something inside my head telling me that the key to unlocking and letting go of my illness was in food. πŸ”πŸ½ I followed protocols from Western Medicine, Chinese Medicine, Ayurved Medicine, even Navajo Medicine, which are all beautiful systems of healing but non of them worked for me.πŸ˜₯

In December 2015 when I discovered Medical Medium I literally went bananas!!!πŸ˜‚πŸŒπŸŒπŸŒ The day I got the Medical Medium book I read most of it then ran to the market and purchased SO MUCH FRUIT. πŸ˜œπŸπŸŽπŸπŸŠπŸ‹πŸŒπŸ‰πŸ‡πŸ“πŸˆπŸ’πŸ‘πŸ I remember saying I don’t care about what I have learned through YEARS of my intensive research on food healing protocols. Fearlessly, I threw all of it to the side and went completely against what I had learned.πŸ˜‰

Here we are 8 months later and the freedom from illness I had been seeking for over a decade is finally here.πŸ™†πŸ½ As I write this blog I am literally in tears and so incredibly full of gratitude that words cannot describe how elated I am.☺️

To have been so steadfast in my journey has paid off! I searched, never gave up, continued to push forward and now I have my life back. As well, I feel like I don’t just have my life back but I am more confident in my life path and purpose than ever! 🌟

The power of self guided healing and having absolute faith has helped me grow so much that I would not have it any other way. Through struggle, failure, trial and error, and the support of people who truly believe in me I have found absolute success! To have lived my experience has been an honor, I know now what my purpose is, I am far more of a potent healer, and I love myself more than I ever have.πŸ’š

I am eternally grateful and urge all to guide self to healing. Further I surrender to the power of natural sugar and my SpiritπŸ“πŸ˜‡
